Why some uses need review
AI model training. The license lets you use Llama 3.1 and its outputs to build other models, but a model you distribute that was created, trained or improved with Llama materials must have a name beginning with "Llama" and comes under the agreement's duties. A reviewer should confirm how this applies to your model.
Duties
- give attribution / keep the notice
- license notice
- follow the acceptable-use policy
- model name prefix
- user threshold
Notes
- Redistributing the materials or a product built on them requires a copy of the agreement and a prominent "Built with Llama" display (section 1.b).
- If your products had more than 700 million monthly active users on the release date, you need a separate license from Meta (section 2).
- Use must comply with the Llama Acceptable Use Policy.
