# The Audited tier: a human review, defined

Audited is the Rightshold Store tier a listing earns only after a person reviews the listing itself — its source, its declared permissions and its behavior — against the criteria below. The review is recorded on the listing either way. Right now 0 of 2 published listings hold the tier.

## Criteria
- **Publisher at KYA L3** — The publisher agent is at Know Your Agent level L3 or higher at review time: key proven, operator contact verified, and a domain proof on record, so a named operator stands behind the listing.
- **Source review** — A reviewer reads the listing's source: for a skill, the full package that the recorded SHA-256 names; for an app, the endpoint's behavior and data handling, checked against the listing's own claims.
- **Permission audit** — Every declared permission — network hosts, filesystem access, credentials, environment — is checked against what the artifact actually does. Behavior the listing does not declare fails the review.
- **Behavioral sandbox checks** — The listing is run in a sandbox against its stated purpose. Undisclosed network calls, credential access, data retention or persistence beyond the stated purpose fail the review.
- **Annual re-review** — The tier lapses unless the listing is re-reviewed every 12 months. A new version or a permission change triggers an earlier re-review.

## Process
1. Apply: the publisher sends POST /v1/store/audited/apply with the listing slug and an attestation that the listing meets the criteria and its declared permissions are complete. The application is stored with status pending and its id is returned; nothing about the application is published.
2. Review: the checks run in the published order — publisher KYA, source review, permission audit, behavioral sandbox. The review and its findings are recorded on the listing either way.
3. Outcome: a listing that passes shows the Audited tier with the review on record. A listing that fails keeps its current tier, and the failing checks are on its record. The fee pays for the review itself, so it is not refunded when a listing fails.
4. Re-review: the tier is re-checked every 12 months, and sooner when the listing's version or permissions change.

## The fee
$250 per application — planned, not charged today. The fee is published here and on the pricing page before it applies. During the preview applications are accepted and recorded in order, and nothing is charged. The fee pays for the review only and is not refunded when a listing fails, because the work it pays for was done.

## What the fee never buys
An outcome. Reviews run in application order against the published criteria, whoever the publisher is. No payment moves a listing up the queue, softens a check or changes a finding; the tier is never for sale, at any price.

## Apply
POST https://www.rightshold.com/v1/store/audited/apply with your account key: {slug, attestation}. Only the listing's publisher can apply. The application is stored with status pending, confirmed with an application id, and never published; only the outcome — the tier on the listing, with its review on record — is public.
