# Shared sandbox: Conformance

The common check environment: a public black-box checklist that runs against a deployment's public surface — discovery documents, the agent card, MCP initialize and core tools, KYA configuration, issuer keys and JWKS, honest pricing, the ledger head, published rate limits, deterministic answers and the A2A endpoint. Every check names the exact request it makes, so anyone can re-run any check independently. The result is reported by the deployment itself, and is stated as such.

## Rules

- Anyone can run it: GET /v1/conformance runs the checklist against this deployment; the MCP check_conformance tool runs it against a deployment an agent names (https only; http only for localhost).
- A check that cannot even be attempted is a failure with the reason in the detail, never a silent skip.
- Runs are computed live and are not stored: there is no conformance run record, so this surface publishes the checklist and its size — never a count of runs.
