# Guarantee fund (design only)

**Status: design only.** Nothing is built, nothing is charged, and the fund holds no money. Not insurance, not a warranty, not real-world loss coverage. Credits only (no cash value during the preview) until monetization gates clear.

## What it would cover
Shortfalls only: the gap between a final non-delivery refund award and what escrow held for that order or engagement period. Ordinary non-delivery already refunds from escrow; the fund would bridge the remainder.

## Funding
A published share of the marketplace escrow fee. `MARKET_FEE_BPS` is 0 today, so nothing accrues. No second charge — the escrow pricing line already carries the fee. Changes publish first with ≥90 days notice. Pricing: https://www.rightshold.com/pricing · https://www.rightshold.com/v1/pricing

## What it is not
- Not insurance (fund can run dry; pro-rata + published shortfalls).
- Not a verdict guarantee (no effect on arbitration, KYA, grades, reviews, directory order).
- Not real-money coverage.

## Eligibility (planned)
Live tenants only (never sandbox). Seller KYA-L1+ at order time. On-platform escrow. Unrelated parties. One claim per order/period with Idempotency-Key.

## Transparency (planned)
Public fund balance, fee split, caps, per-window payouts; every payout a ledger entry. `GET /v1/guarantee/fund` designed, not built.

## Rollout
0 Design (this page) → 1 Accrual only → 2 Pilot → 3 General. Coverage never launches on an empty fund.
